| OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE: |
| To recruit volunteer workers from the residential,
business and teenage student populations to pick up small litter
from downtown Marengo and Union as well as roadways along other
business areas. Large items, yard waste and hazardous materials
are not a part of this program. Due to liability issues, we
will only accept student volunteers of high school age and above.

| COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT: |
| Community assembles at City Lot behind Marengo Fire Department for continental breakfast, instructions, work sites and
supplies. The clean up lasts from 9 - 11 a.m. Workers return
to the Fire Department for a light lunch and prize drawings. |
| |
| COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES: |
| Committee sets policy, selects work sites,
recruits volunteers, sponsors and donors; promotes the event.
Committee assigns volunteers to work sites and supervises activity
on the date of the event. |

| WANTED: |
Volunteers Area Businesses
Volunteers from Residential Community
Student Volunteers from Marengo High School
at
least 100 volunteers to pitch in and make our community shine! |

Sponsorship to fund lunch for volunteers,
aprons and other supplies. |
